For the past weeks we've been assigned with partners to work as a team on projects. My first partner was Kassie Bernal, we worked on writing. We both had different creative ideas and we put them all together as one and came up with this twisted scene to catch our audience. I really enjoyed working with her, she was honest in what she liked an and what she thought was best to add.
In my upcoming project I am working with Laura, we are barely getting to know about each other little by little and we are getting along so far. We're both new with working on sound editing, it's new to me and it's a bit frustrating but at the same time I enjoy it. I actually love the whole idea of putting us all in a group but we all have separate duties and it's like we're set to master in our specific assignment. We get to play around with the software and slowly but surely were learning our way around the whole sound editing.

The Oscars 2013 Academy Awards
On February 24, 2013 the Oscars will be taking place at the Kodak Theatre this Sunday. Many viewers are looking foward to the event. Seems to everyone that Argo generates the heat but believe Lincoln can catch up. So many nominatations for such great films, I believe this is going to be a nail biting case. I am looking forward to Seth MacFarlane being the host, he is sure an entertainer. The man has talent, he's the voice of the famous family guy, singer, a movie director, producer, and writer.
The most part I am looking forward to is, the red carpet. I cannot miss out on fashion police and all the bashing on celebrities, who wore what and what the hell they were thinking. Besides the red carpet, I'd like to see who wins the awards. I believe there was so many talented films that were released this year, my favorite out of all of them was Django. Such a great film, it was a bit sarcastic but I honestly believe that is why I loved it.
As being part of the film magnet, we should be on top of events like these and know about all the movies out there and what's hot and what's not. We should know about writers, directors, producers, and actors etc. Many viewers don't really know what's exactly behind the scene, there is so much to film., and I've learned so much about it being in film and it honestly seems like a pain in the ass.
I believe all of the nominees deserve a pat on the back, they all did an outstanding job but of course only one can win. I am curious in how does the cast celebrate ? What do they like to do to celebrate an accomplishment. I'm looking forward in watching the Oscars this Sunday, it shall be exciting.

Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain stars in the new film Zero Dark Thirty, a 2012 American historical drama film directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Mark Boal. The film is based on one of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man, Osama Bin Laden a leader of al-Qaeda. Zero Dark Thirty received nominations for five 85th academy awards, including best picture, best actress (Jessica Chastain) and Best Original Screenplay. Jessica at her best performance stars as a CIA analyst hunting for Osama Bin Laden.
This article caught my attention due to all this fuss about Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence being in the race for best actress. Of course I also choose this article because I watched Zero Dark Thirty and it was a great movie, it was more than what I expected. Jessica Chastain kicked ass in the performance she gave the audience. The film was awesome honestly, it showed America's dirty laundry about our torture programs, and the great capture of Osama Bin Laden.
Writing about Jessica Chastain and the role she takes as an actress makes me actually realize that an actor has a lot to do with representing and receiving recognition for the film. As a future filmmaker, shows that you have to be able to have strong communication with your actors in order to get the performance you want from them.
I'd recommend friends and family to go watch this movie, I consider it one of the coolest educational films. Gives us an idea of how our country runs the show. I only have one question in mind, what do the men such like the soldiers and navy seals etc. feel about this movie? Do they agree with everything they put in ? Besides that, great movie.

& Most Nominated Goes Too. . .
Congratulations to producer Ben Affleck, being his first big screen film the man was nominated for Critics Choice, Best Picture, and Screen Writing. For the Golden Globe Awards, Argo won best director. The film was based on a dramatization of the 1980 CIA Canadian secret operation to extract six fugitive American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran. Argo made in box office (so far) $111,660,243 !! that is ridiculous. Ben Affleck's movie was distributed by Warner Brothers Pictures.
I dedicated my time to review and write on this article due to all the headlines Argo has been making, as it's trailers head "Best Picture" and all the recap shows from the Golden Globe talking about it, I am proud of Ben Affleck, not only is he a good actor but also a great Director winning Best Picture! He must me so honored of himself. Out of all actors, Ben would of been the lease to think that he would come out directing such an extravagant film.
Argo impacted me as a student due to the history it's giving out, this film is based on a real life event of how in 1979 the American embassy in Iran was invaded by Iranian revolutionaries and several Americans are taken hostage. As a future filmmaker this shows, you cant never limit your dreams. If you want to me an actor, you can do that and if you want to be a director you can also do that ! As long as you put your hand on the gun and aim for the trigger, you got it. As a consumer, I like this. I actually want to see Argo already just that I haven't had time.
Reading through the articles, such questions like "How do people in the industry take Ben Affleck's work?" I wonder if at first when he laid out his whole idea of coming out with this film if people took it as a joke? I'm glad he gave it a shot and look at him now winning so many awards for his work.
